Shibuya Sky tickets: prices, booking & when to go

Admission is timed-entry and prices vary by partner and slot. Sunset sells out first; night is dramatic but you miss daylight detail. Below is how each window feels, how booking works, and where to compare live options. full Shibuya Sky guide.

What each time slot is like

Daytime (roughly 10:00–16:00)

Best for clear sightlines and photos without crowds pressing the glass. On winter mornings you can sometimes see Mount Fuji from the roof — rare, but worth the earlier slot if weather cooperates. Standalone timed-entry tickets work well here because you are not racing sunset.

Our pick: standalone timed-entry ticket (from $17.75)

Sunset / golden hour (17:00–19:00, season-dependent)

The most requested window. You watch the city shift from gold to blue hour in one visit. Book days ahead in peak season; the standalone ticket is fine if you only want the roof, but guided combos that end at the 14F gate can save you navigation stress on a first afternoon.

Our pick: Hachiko + Sky guided tour (from $95)

Night (19:00 and later)

Tokyo as a light map — the Scramble Crossing glows, office towers stack into the distance. Indoor gallery stays open if weather closes the roof. Night-specific guided walks pair well if you want context before you go up.

Our pick: night Sky + guided walk (from $94)
